Some beaches of Lake Orta are located in the village of Orta San Giulio and can be reached on foot by those who are spending a period of stay in Orta.

1 Ortello is one of the small beaches of Lake Orta, it is free, not equipped, mixed with sand and gravel, equipped with a pier. It is located behind Villa Crespi, inserted in a characteristic context of ancient houses and views of remarkable beauty. It can be reached on foot in a few minutes from the historic center of Orta, following the long lake towards the south.

2 A beautiful beach on Lake Orta, overlooking the Gulf of Bagnera, is the Bagnera beach, reachable on foot from the center of Orta in about ten minutes. Also known as Orta Beach with free access. It is a large free green area where you can stop to relax, sunbathe and swim. It is a very large and very clean area with space for everyone, both in the shade and in the sun, equipped with showers and a kiosk. There is also a car park.

3 A splendid beach on Lake Orta is Luci sul Lago, perhaps the most romantic beach in Orta and its surroundings. Access to the lake is via a stone walkway. The beach is fully equipped: sunbeds with umbrellas and the possibility of renting pedal boats and canoes. In case you don't find space at the Luci sul Lago beach, to the right of the entrance there is a very large public area where you can enjoy the wonderful Lake Orta.
It is located a few hundred meters from the village of Orta San Giulio.

4 There are other beaches on Lake Orta that can be reached by walking along the lake. Here there are many small beaches where you can dive from the many piers and lay out a towel to relax in the sun.

5 A beautiful beach on Lake Orta is Miami beach, a real bathing establishment on the lake. The beach is located in a basin and therefore in a particularly quiet stretch of lake and the seabed does not immediately go deep.

6 A recommended beach on Lake Orta is the Gozzano lido, the largest beach on the lake and characterized by the highest trampoline in a lake in all of Europe. Sunbeds on the beach can be booked but if you can't find a place, there is also a public area.

7-8 Among the beaches of Lake Orta, one of the most famous is Dolphin's beach which is located in Pettenasco. Dolphin's also has a bar, restaurant, showers and toilets. Also in Pettenasco, another renowned beach is the Approdo, it is an equipped beach, the list of its infrastructures includes, deckchairs and umbrellas, changing rooms, shower, sinks, swimming pool on the beach. The beaches are all free to access.

9 Other beaches of Lake Orta are located in Omegna: near the Rowing Club headquarters, there is also the free beach with a grass and gravel coast, shaded and equipped with a shower service. Also in Omegna there is the Lido di Bagnella, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, with bar service and swimming pools.
Omegna is 9.2 km from Orta via SP229.

10 Among the beaches of Lake Orta on the opposite shore of the lake from Orta San Giulio is Pella, which can also be reached by boat. The beach is in the Roncallo hamlet. As in Orta, also in the surroundings of Pella there are piers where you can lay out a towel and dive into the lake.
If you prefer to reach Pella by car, the distance from Orta is approximately 14 km via SP229

11 Among the beaches of Lake Orta on the opposite shore from Orta, Prarolo beach in San Maurizio d'Opaglio should not be forgotten. For San Maurizio it is a real revenge: the town, capital of taps indicated in the 80s as one of the main causes of pollution, has become a model of sustainability obtaining the blue flag confirming the quality of its waters.
